travel insurance
The real magic of traveling happens when you are carefree. We hope you don't lose a bag or need a doctor (it's not on our roadmap either!), but if the worst happens, it's good to have support. Travel insurance is an easy, worry-free way to travel.

visa and pass
A ticket is not the only thing you need to travel. You will also need a passport (valid for at least six months) and visas. These visas have different personalities: some are simple, some are complex. You may need multiple-entry or extended-term visas. Your travel agent or the Cosmos team can advise you on which visas you need and how to obtain them.

A quick overview of required passports and visas for foreign countries can be found athttps://www.smartraveller.gov.au/.

vaccines
It's a little pain for a big gain. The vaccines you may need range from common tetanus, hepatitis A and B, influenza and rabies to country-specific typhoid and cholera. Your local doctor can advise which vaccines are best for your itinerary.

travel documents
We know that travel dreams come true long before you go anywhere. The day your travel documents arrive, those dreams will come true. Three to four weeks before departure (once full payment and emergency contacts are received and terms and conditions are accepted), your documents will arrive.

Vorpackliste
When you go on vacation, you want more than just the essentials, but that doesn't have to extend to the contents of your suitcase. Our trick is to simplify packing: save the "special" for the experiences that await you.

Mala
Our coaches (and often your airline too) limit passengers to one 22kg bag per person.

Your airline may also have other baggage size restrictions. A good rule of thumb is bags with a maximum size of 76 x 53 x 28 cm and 30 x 28 x 14 cm for hand luggage.
Don't forget the tags, also on your hand luggage, so they can always find their way home.

Dress
Mix and match pieces that combine in different ways and will be your best travel companions. Think comfortable yet stylish, easy-care and wrinkle-free.
Here is the background:

  • Casual, comfortable daywear that won't distract you from the incredible adventures you're about to experience.
  • A more elegant outfit if you have special occasions planned.
  • Enough underwear to avoid frequent washing.
  • Warm layers for the nights.
  • Tip: bring at least one pair of socks. Even on a summer day, the weather can be chilly.

the most necessary–As long as you have the essentials: passport, visas, debit cards and travel insurance, the essentials are covered.

if– For added safety, it's best to keep the above essentials in your clothes. If you carry a purse, one with a shoulder strap will be harder for thieves to access. Tip: carry shoulder bags in front of you for added security.

Sacred, Religious and Special Places–We encourage all our travelers to respect local and traditional customs. For women, a multifunctional scarf is a traveler's best friend. In religious places, it is helpful to cover your hair or bare shoulders. For men, you'll probably need long pants (one that fits over shorts might be the perfect option).

alpine areas

  • fireplace
  • cap or hat
  • Tissue
  • Gloves
  • thick socks
  • Stiefel
  • thermal

summer

  • baggy clothes
  • Sunglasses
  • Cabin
  • creme solar
  • Insect repellent.

Winter– Nobody likes to be out in the cold, but the warm winter is a lot of fun. Be sure to wear thermal underwear/socks, a coat, scarf, gloves and a hat.
A good tip: keep a wool hat in your jacket pocket; can make a difference.

shoes– Two words: cobbled streets. Exploring is wonderful, but it can be difficult for you. Choose shoes with a lot of cushioning and heels are probably best avoided. Try to limit yourself to two pairs: open fingers and closed fingers. Your feet will thank you later.

toiletries- Refillable mini travel bottles make it easy to carry your favorite toiletries.
Tip: Cabin pressure and moving luggage can cause spills. Keep liquids where they belong by storing your bottles in ziplock bags.

More tips: Before you go, make sure you:

  • Take your travel adapter/converter
  • Check your phone's roaming plan
  • Pack extra clothes in your carry-on bag in case of delays. Rolling your clothes will also keep them wrinkle-free.
  • When it comes to valuable jewelry or other items that you can't afford to lose, it's best to leave them at home just in case.

Pre and post hosting
Every moment counts and sometimes you want more. We understand. Why rush home when you don't have to? Our staff or your travel agent can help you extend your adventure as long as you like.

What is an optional tour?
Vote up or down. You have freedom and flexibility to choose the pace of the trip. If you don't want to spend your free time relaxing or exploring on your own, add the icing to your trip by joining an optional excursion. From visiting a cowboy ranch and hanging out with the gauchos at a barbecue in Argentina to riding a rickshaw through a colorful night market in Thailand, we've found dozens of ways to go a little further.

Availability of optional tours may depend on seasonality, sufficient frequency or general feasibility. Tours priced in AUD can be booked directly through MyAccount at checkout. If the amount shown online is in local currency only, it means that payment will be made during the tour. Simply.

Can I book optional excursions before departure?
it sure can You can block the options that appear on the page and give you chills between 90 and 4 days before the start date of the tour through your MyAccount. (Trip must have Guaranteed Departure status).

Attention: Some tours and activities offer reduced prices for children under 13 years old, while others have a minimum age limit (for example, visit to a winery). Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Every moment counts when you leave home, which is why we make it easy for you to arrange arrival and departure transfers directly with us. Transfer times planned during the day don't fit?
